These are the Rules and Qualifications for La Sexta Entrega de Los Premios Tejano Mundial 2026 for COMPOSITOR del AÑO:

 

The Songwriter must have released three (3) original works between January 1 2025 and December 31 2025.

 

The works must be performed by three (3) separate artists.

The Songwriter can be one of the three artists.

 

The following will disqualify the Songwriter in this category:

* If the song is not an original work (aka Cover), the Songwriter will NOT qualify for Songwriter of the Year.

Premios Tejano Mundial supports the tribute or honoring of artists from the past by covering their work at events or in recorded format).

Original Works is what we honor at Premios Tejano Mundial.

 

If less than three (3) separate artists perform the three (3) works, the Songwriter will NOT qualify for Songwriter of the Year.
