RULES and QUALIFICATIONS
These are the Rules and Qualifications for La Sexta Entrega de Los Premios Tejano Mundial 2026 for CANCIÓN del AÑO: BALADA, CHICANO, CONJUNTO, COUNTRY, CROSSOVER, CUMBIA, CUMBIA POP, GOSPEL, MARIACHI, NORTE ÑO, and PROGRESSIVE.
The Work must have been released between January 1 2025 and December 31 2025.
A song may qualify for more than one category.
The following will disqualify the Performance in this category:
* If the song is not an original work (aka Cover), it will NOT qualify for Canción del Año (Balada).
Premios Tejano Mundial supports the tribute or honoring of artists from the past by covering their work at events or in recorded format.
Original Works is what we honor at Premios Tejano Mundial
